From Prison to the Art Gallery. Formerly incarcerated artists are making waves in the collecting world, hoping to create pathways, and dignity, for their peers.

With a grant this year from the Art for Justice Fund, founded in 2017 by the philanthropist Agnes Gund to support activists and artists working to reduce the prison population, Silver Art is now reserving several spots in the residency annually for formerly incarcerated artists.
